Izu Ojukwu’s ‘Amina’ is coming to Netflix!

While a lot of us has so much for our favorite know movies, guess what? One of The much-anticipated feature film will be released through the service’s streaming platform in November.

One of the popular movie streaming platform know for variety of interesting movies and tv series, Netflix has recenly put to purchase Izu Ojukwu’s film “Amina” which is based on the 16th century Zazzau the warrior queen of the empire Amina.

To the delight of the fans of the director who have been anticipating the film since the trailer was released in the year 2017, it is scheduled to launch on the most popular streaming service on November 4, 2021.

The film was financed by the Bank of Industry (BOI) in 2015, the movie ‘Amina’ generated quite a buzz after the trailer’s release.

Filmed in Nigeria and post-production in Europe The action historical drama tells the story of coming of age that of the legendary warlord queen.

According to Ojukwu the film, which is an ode powerful female characters from the rich history of Nigeria is a real-life action film which took months of training for actor to get used to.

“Amina” stars Lucy Ameh in the lead role with Clarion Chukwurah Ali Nuhu, Magaji Mijinyawa and many others.

The filmmaker has also recently opened auditions for his newest production, a terror-themed drama called “The Train From Kafanchan’.
